Is your life on autopilot?
Some of us live our life in “autopilot,” and at times we may not even be aware of it.
The default mode can be a protective factor that allows us to complete our daily tasks without ever really being present to experience the things that go on around us.
Then something happens, and you cannot do all the things you used to without feeling overwhelming emotions.
The feelings can be sadness, irritability, or even a combination of many swinging motions that all occur at once, thus making you feel out of control.
Therapy offers a way to gain control.
The adult years are times when many different transitions happen. In society today, the range and breadth of stressors for adults have increased and are becoming more complex.
Seeking therapy does not mean that you are somehow defective. Therapy is a safe place to help you better understand yourself, so you can feel more confident and comfortable in your own skin.
Therapy will…
People, who enter therapy with me, are often seeking relief from conditions like uncomfortable emotional states. Conditions such as anxiety or depression, traumatic experiences, impulsive behaviors, relationship ruts, or transitional challenges of adulthood.
In your individual session, you can benefit from working on strategies that help you begin to feel like you are putting the pieces of your life back together.
My approach to therapy offers relief.
It can help improve your relationships with friends, family, or significant others. It can also heighten your self-esteem, help you understand and relieve anxiety, and provide help in healing from past and present traumatic events.
Each person has their own uniqueness and strengths, both of which are respected and accepted. The work that we do together provides treatment to help individuals regain a strong sense of balance, wellness, and ability to cope with and respond to life’s demands with greater ease.
