Hi, I’m Dr. Sheena.
Imagine a life that is full of joy, passion, and clarity.
Thinking about your life in this way may seem impossible, but I have no doubt that it can be done.
Working with adults, teens, and parents is one of my passions.
I can help you become a confident adult.
Process of Therapy
From the first phone call, you will see that getting help is easier than you think. When you call, I will answer unless I am with another client. Then, please leave a message, and I will give you a call as soon as I have a free moment.
I know that you are probably having emotional pain and want the pain to end soon. When we talk over the phone, I will get information from you, answer questions you may have, and set up the initial in-office appointment.
During the first session, you get a chance to look at the office and get comfortable. Together, we will review what was shared over the phone during the consultation and begin to discuss other urgent concerns you have.
We will begin to create a plan of treatment together and set individual goals. Typical treatment per concern can take 1-6 sessions.
Each person and situation are different, so treatment can vary person to person.
IMPORTANT POINT – You are in control of the process and what goals are addressed each session.
During sessions over time, we will look at what is working, what can be improved, and what things could be reduced/eliminated.
After each session, you will have a task to complete that allows you to practice new skills on your own, outside the office. When you return to the next session, we will review how your week went and a new goal is set.
About me…
I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialty in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in 2024, and hold an M.S. (Master of Science) in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College.
Over the course of my career, I have worked in numerous treatment centers and agencies where clients were supported using specialized, evidence-based treatment modalities for targeted concerns including unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transitions. My clinical background spans a wide range of settings, giving me a deep appreciation for how differently each person experiences their journey toward healing.
I currently work exclusively with adults, creating an individualized and focused space where your specific experiences, goals, and needs, not a diagnosis or age category, guide the work. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, a major life transition, or living with ADHD, therapy with me is centered on you as a whole person.
In our work together, we will build practical, lasting skills designed to reduce overwhelming pain and distress, develop personalized plans for improving your quality of life, and move toward the goals you set for yourself. For clients managing ADHD, I bring a specialized lens rooted in my background in Cognition and Instruction, understanding how your mind works is the foundation of helping you thrive in your daily life, relationships, and career.
The overall goal of our work is simple: reduce what’s in the way, build what supports you, and create a life that feels more like yours.
Outside of the Office
I am a wife and mother of four beautiful children. Weeknights and weekends are busy, as you can imagine.
There is not an adventure that I do not want to try. I enjoy rock climbing, skiing, camping, paintballing, hiking, and everything that is fun under the sun.
On the other hand, I love to draw, crochet, bake, and calligraphy writing, too.
